What a virtual CFO does
The role sits above bookkeeping and compliance. A virtual CFO turns accounting data into decisions: which products or clients actually make money, how much cash the business will need next quarter, whether the next hire or office is affordable, and what the numbers will look like to a bank or investor.
Typical deliverables include a monthly MIS pack with variance analysis, a rolling 13-week or 12-month cash-flow forecast, an annual budget, unit economics or contribution margins, working-capital tracking for debtors, creditors and inventory, and a compliance calendar. The engagement is shaped around the questions your leadership team is actually asking, not a fixed template.
How the engagement is structured
We start with a diagnostic: reviewing your current books, reporting, banking arrangements, tax position and how decisions are being made. From that, we agree a scope and a reporting calendar, usually a monthly MIS by a fixed date and a review meeting with the founders.
Each month our team closes or reviews the books, prepares the MIS and cash-flow update, and flags issues such as slipping collections or margin erosion. Quarterly, we revisit the budget and forecast. Around specific events, like a fundraise, a bank limit renewal, a new state expansion or a large contract, we prepare the projections, data room or CMA data required. Your existing accountants continue their work under our oversight.
Financial leadership for Delhi NCR businesses
NCR has a dense startup ecosystem spread across Delhi, Gurugram and Noida, and many companies here raise angel or venture capital early. Investors expect monthly reporting, board packs and clean cap-table records, which founders struggle to produce alongside running the business.
Other Delhi businesses have different pressure points: distributors and importers running on bank working-capital limits need stock and debtor statements and covenant tracking; firms supplying government departments face long payment cycles and must plan cash around them; and multi-location groups need consolidated reporting across entities and state GST registrations. A virtual CFO gives each of these businesses a structured view of cash and profitability.
Why Finaccle for virtual CFO work in Delhi
Finaccle's virtual CFO engagements are led by Chartered Accountants supported by a team that also handles accounting, GST and direct tax. That means the CFO view is built on books we understand, and tax implications are considered when we model a decision rather than discovered afterwards.
Our Delhi office in Aerocity is convenient for in-person monthly reviews with founders in South and West Delhi or Gurugram, and the rest of the work is delivered digitally through shared dashboards and reports. We do not take investment decisions for you or guarantee funding outcomes; our role is to give you accurate numbers and clear options so that you can decide with confidence.
Virtual CFO in Delhi: FAQs
When does a business need a virtual CFO?
Common triggers are raising funds, applying for or renewing bank limits, cash running tighter than profits suggest, expansion into new cities or products, or founders spending too much time on finance. If your accounts are up to date but nobody is analysing them for decisions, a virtual CFO usually adds value.
How is a virtual CFO different from my accountant?
Your accountant records transactions and keeps compliance on track. A virtual CFO uses that data to plan: forecasting cash, setting budgets, analysing margins, preparing investor or bank reporting and advising on financial decisions. In our engagements, the virtual CFO also reviews the accounting team's work so that the underlying numbers are reliable.
Can you help us prepare for a fundraise?
Yes. We prepare financial projections, historical financial summaries, unit economics and a data room with statutory and tax records, and help answer investor due diligence queries. We coordinate with your legal advisers on documents and valuations. We do not act as a fund-raising intermediary or promise investor interest.
Do we need to meet in person?
Not necessarily. Most work, including MIS delivery and review calls, happens online. Clients who prefer in-person reviews can meet our team at the Delhi office in WeWork Worldmark 6, Aerocity. Many founders choose a mix: monthly video reviews and quarterly in-person planning sessions.
